Mixed Bag of Rant has been my labor of love since 2006 and even earlier when it was just an AOL page about planning my wedding. This wonderful place served as an outlet for me to discuss my trying to conceive journey, my miscarriage, several years of infertility, the miracles that are my son and daughter, the triumph and tribulations of motherhood and everything in between that I want and need to rant about. I will do sponsored posts but only if I 100% believe in the product or service. I will never submit a review just for the sake of doing a review. You, my readers, deserve better. All opinions on this blog are 100% mine.
A little about me: I was born and raised in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Despite 40 years of bitching about the weather, I love it here and could not imagine living anywhere else. I have a bachelor's degree in marketing communications and work as a online marketer for a large international financial company. I have an intense passion for social media- I am fascinated by its power and how it is changing the face of marketing and brand awareness as we know it today. I have been married since 2005 to an incredible guy that I actually met online (yup, you heard that right). He is an information security professional, your typical techie dork who writes a great blog called Binary Blogger and love him madly. We are parents to Jackson, born on September 11, 2008. He has turned our lives upside down in the best possible way. To our shock and amazement I am now a mommy to my beautiful daughter Mackenzie, born on December 11, 2013. I'm a MN sports lover and look forward to getting out to see the Twins, Vikings and Wild as much as my time and pocketbook will allow. With eclectic tastes in music from classical to hard rock to R & B, I get out to several concerts a year and love talking about my experiences. I am working on a healthy lifestyle and lost 60 pounds from 2011 - 2012 using Medifast & Weight Watchers. Healthy living will continue to be an ongoing part of my life.
I hope you will enjoy the many flavors that Mixed Bag of Rant has to offer and that you will feel compelled to rant right along with me. I welcome your comments, your criticisms but most importantly your friendship.
